Refund policy
Return or Refund period
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your product to request a return or refund.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, uneaten, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Sun or Heat Damage
Please note that if your chocolate has been mistakenly left in the sun or in too hot an environment, it will be considered user damage and will not be refunded or replaced.
How to start a return
You can contact us at david@foundrychocolate.co.nz and explain why you wish to return your product. If your return is accepted, we’ll either:
- Send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. We will replace your product on receipt of your returned product.
OR
- Replace your product without you needing to return the initial product. This decision will be based on photographic evidence of product fault.
We will also give you the option of a refund instead of replacement product.
Note if you are based overseas, it is not practical for you to return your product, so we will base a returns assessment on photographic evidence and then send replacement product / refund if necessary.
Items sent back to us without first requesting a return or refund will not be accepted.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
